A native of Pittsburgh, Janice earned her degree in Law Enforcement and Corrections at Penn State, whereupon she immediately took a position with the Board of Probation and Parole at Muncy Prison. After two years she advanced to become Associate Director of the Female Offenders program of Western Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh while pursuing and obtaining a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Pittsburgh.

Armed with her MSW she then took a position with the Regional Alcohol Program of South Hills Health System, followed by employment as a counselor in the Employee Assistance Program at Weirton Steel Corporation, an early pioneer in corporate EAP programs. Following her employment at Weirton Steel, she became National Director of the new Health Advisory Program at American International Group at their headquarters in Manhattan, reporting to the Medical Director. After three years on Wall Street Janice decided to begin what has become a private psychotherapy practice of over twenty years in Stamford, CT, with special expertise in marital and couples relationship therapy.

All through these years and up to the present Janice has continued to refine and broaden her skills, not only through the weight of experience gained from dealing with innumerable people in difficulty but through continuing education, experimentation and accreditation with advanced therapeutic techniques such as Imago Relationship Therapy, EMDR, EFT and others. Her diverse, lifetime experience in concert with her trademark down-to-earth style earns her numerous accolades from clients and colleagues alike.
